Tim Sadler
He/Him
I’m Tim Sadler and I’m a primary school teacher, writer and illustrator from Gloucestershire. I have been volunteering for Young Lives vs Cancer for nearly a decade. My son, Michael, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2014 and he finished his treatment in June 2017.
I have seen the significant toll that a cancer diagnosis takes on a family from the perspective of a father, but also as a sibling. My sister, Katie, died from Neuroblastoma 25 years ago.
I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the North Star Cancer Collective’s LEAG because I think now, more than ever, is the time to be speaking with one voice about how positive changes should be made to the lived experiences of young people with cancer and their families.
